The Auctioneers Go Big Time

I am so overly excited I can’t even see straight! Yes, next week is the big week for my sister Johan and my dad Earl.  They are the NEW auctioneers on A&E’s Storage Wars. It has been so hard not to tell everyone about it for all these months, but we can finally tell the world now! My dad has been an auctioneer for over 40 years and the owner of several different auction companies. My sister and I both attended the same auction school as my dad when we were both straight out of high school at Western College of Auctioneer in Billing, MT. Johan has been working auctions for over 15 years. My dad and sister do several charity auctions every year, and they put on a huge show every time. A few years ago she did the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund Auction in Las Vegas at the Lady’s Luncheon at the South Point Hotel and Casino, where she sold Tuff Cooper’s NFR boots for over $10,000.

So I am calling all the Gypsy-Sisters out there to turn those TV’s on and watch the show!  Actually watch it for the next 6 episodes that they are on! Tweet and Facebook them and let A&E know how much you love them on the show. Also, check out  I-15Auctions and their Facebook while your at it! You just might find something you like!

Tune in on your A&E channel every Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m Central.

Lets show some #gypsylove for my family

LoVe xoxo- LO

Good For The Soule

Gypsy Soule has been featured in a 4-page article in the May 2013 issue of Barrel Horse News. The Giving Gypsies contacted New River Fellowship of Weatherford in hopes to find a way to give shoes to people in need. From there, they were put through to Bill and Danielle Ford who founded the charity, Millions From One, that recognizes the need for drinkable water in Third World countries. As I sit here this morning watching the news coverage of the Boston Marathon tragedy I am overwhelmed with many emotions.  I am sad, heartbroken, confused, angry – but the one feeling that keeps coming to the top of the emotional heap is PRIDE!!!  And here is why I feel pride during such a trying and horrific time.

I am proud to be an American!  The reason America is “the home of the brave and the land of the free” is because that no matter what is going on in the world we as citizens will do whatever it takes for our fellow Americans.  We are each others Red, White & Blue family.  A family that can set aside their differences in a time of need and unite for our fellow man.  As a nation, currently I know there is major political unrest and social issue controversies that seems to be dividing the country.  It is probably the worst that I have seen in my adult life.  I am guilty of it.  Like so many, I am angry and unsettled with the direction of our country right now and feel that as an American I get to voice my opinions regardless if they are right or wrong.  But, none of that seems to matter right now does it?  What matters yesterday, tomorrow and for many days to come is coming together and healing and caring for one another as a nation –  remember the words of the Pledge of Allegiance “one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I am proud of a nation that lets us stand up for what we believe in and not be unjustly persecuted for it.

I am proud of a nation that runs in to help regardless of the danger rather than running away.

I am proud of a fellow American that opens her doors and home to stranded marathon runners in such a scary time.

I am proud of a nation that filled churches and stadiums across America to pray for peace, strength, understanding for the families and a wounded nation.

I am proud that we are teaching our youth about this America that we all love and that they are embracing the hurt and the pride and the prayers.

I am sure as the days pass after the Boston Marathon tragedy the arguments and tensions of the American people and our government will return.  But, I promise you that I am going to do my best to remember the America that makes me proud.  The America that still stands tall, strong and united in times of such pain and conflict.   The America that heals together.

Baby On Board

Things are crazy in #GypsyLand…..Yes, mine and Amy’s right hand gypsy is about to have her first baby. AHAHHAHH!! We are all so excited for Christi and her husband Casey. Christi attended UNT when she first started working for Gypsy Soule almost 6 years ago, and I can still remember the first day she started. One of my favorite things about Christi is she always has a big smile on her face even when she is faking it!

Amy and I just wanted y’all to see the great pictures that she had done with her baby tummy, and we want to wish her lots of luck. Baby Chase should be here any day now!  I can remember being prego with my girls and how HUGE I felt. I was very sick with both of my girls and so has poor Christi. I told her it just makes your baby extra special.  She comes in everyday to make sure I am doing her job right so that I am better prepared once baby Chase makes his debut. I told her once she sees her sweet baby boy she will not care about #gypsyland for a while.  We will miss her while she is out, but I have a feeling I will be spending extra time getting my baby fix! It’s definitely the best kind. Once your finished, you give them back to their mamma!

We did a blog on Christi a while back click here to read more

Family & Vegas

Screen Shot 2013-02-18 at 1.10.56 PM

We’re off to Sin City. This is the last run of our market trips until the fall. I think today about killed me when it came time for me to leave the house. I leaned down to kiss Jaylee goodbye, and for once she had tears in her eyes as I told her that she had to take care of daddy and charley, they were in bed with the flu, and Sarah (our baby sitter) would be there in an about an hour. She hugged me so tight…  She never cares if I leave. It’s usually bye mom and see-ya when you get back. I am so lucky to have such great kids. I tell them all the time it’s great to miss the ones you love. It makes you appreciate them more, or at lest that is what I have been telling myself…but now I say bullshit…

This week our house is finally finished after almost 5 months of remodeling.  It has been a long time since I have been home. I think I might be trading in my gypsy card for a homebody card instead…

I really don’t have any advice about today other than it SUCKED.  I have been stopped so many times by mom’s that read my blogs and they tell me thank you for sharing because they have the same feelings that I have, and it SUCKS for all of us! I have to look at the positive in all of this though, I am raising my girls with having a career that I love, and there is always is a price you have to pay. There is a price for anything in life. What are you willing to pay for what you want? I know Gypsy Soule could be even better and bigger, but Amy and I try to keep the balance of work and our family life, although some days it doesn’t feel like it. The minute my feet hit the ground when I get back to Texas this Friday I will soon become a volleyball and dance mom and I can’t wait!!! My girls live to make their mom and dad proud, but they pick things they love to do and they have passion about them… just like my parents taught me to do.

As bad as my heart hurts, and I am sick to my stomach that I had to leave, I have to look forward to getting to Vegas to see my mom that will be there. Because we live so far apart from each other, she is happy to see me. However, I have to remember that when its time for us to say goodbye to each other, she feels the same sadness I feel when I have to leave my two girls also…kind of twisted I guess…

So for today there is always something to be thankful for and maybe a little lesson in there about life as well. With hurt and pain, God will always bring in the light of something good.
